The PARKER 68PLP-8-6G is a straight push-to-connect male connector designed for tube-to-male tube connections in compressed air, pneumatic, and fluid distribution systems. The fitting accepts 1/2-inch outside diameter tubing and threads into a 3/8-inch BSPP male port. The body is nickel-plated brass with a silver finish, and the release button is black flame-resistant plastic rated to UL94 V-0. Maximum working pressure is 300 psi across an operating temperature range of 0 to 200 degrees F. Licensed plumbers, pipefitters, and pneumatic system technicians are the primary installers of this type of fitting.
This connector is suited for use in industrial pneumatic lines, fluid handling assemblies, and process piping where a reliable push-to-connect interface to a BSPP-threaded male port is needed. The straight configuration keeps the plumbing compact in tight panel or manifold installations. It is appropriate for both light industrial and commercial applications where moderate pressures and standard temperature ranges are encountered. The nickel-plated brass construction offers corrosion resistance in typical plant-air and water service environments.
Designed for use with 1/2-inch OD tubing in pneumatic and fluid systems equipped with 3/8-inch BSPP male threaded ports.
Installation should be performed by a qualified pipefitter, plumber, or pneumatic systems technician. Depressurize and isolate the system completely before removing or installing any push-to-connect fitting. Ensure tubing is cut square and deburred before insertion to achieve a proper seal. Verify thread compatibility before engagement, as BSPP threads are not interchangeable with NPT threads.
