The PARKER 68PLP-6-4G is a push-to-connect tube-to-male fitting configured as a straight male connector. It accepts 3/8-inch OD tubing on the push-in end and threads into a 1/4-inch BSPP male port on the other end. The body is nickel-plated brass, rated to 300 psi maximum working pressure, and handles temperatures from 0 degrees F to 200 degrees F. A silver body with a green release button provides quick identification in the field. The flame-resistant release button meets UL94 V-0 requirements. This fitting is installed by licensed plumbers, HVAC technicians, and pneumatic system technicians in applications where fast, tool-free tube connections are required.
This fitting is suited for compressed air lines, pneumatic control circuits, and fluid-handling systems where BSPP threaded ports are present. It is commonly used in commercial and light industrial installations where push-to-connect fittings simplify service and reduce assembly time. The 3/8-inch OD tube size is a standard dimension found in HVAC condensate and pneumatic pilot lines. The BSPP thread type is common in European-standard equipment and process control components.
Designed for use with 3/8-inch OD tubing and 1/4-inch BSPP threaded male ports in pneumatic and fluid-handling systems.
Depressurize and isolate the system before removing or installing push-to-connect fittings. Ensure tubing is cut square and deburred before insertion to achieve a proper seal. Thread the BSPP male end into the mating port to the appropriate engagement depth without overtightening brass threads. To release tubing, depress the green collar button fully and withdraw the tube in a single motion.
