The PARKER 68HD-8-12 is a brass compression tube connector designed to join a compression tube end to a male NPT threaded port. This fitting is used to create secure, leak-resistant connections in fluid and gas distribution lines. Built from solid brass, it handles maximum working pressures up to 1,150 psi, making it suitable for demanding plumbing, HVAC, and industrial fluid-handling applications. The 3/4-inch thread size accommodates standard MPT porting. Licensed plumbers, HVAC technicians, and industrial pipefitters regularly use this type of connector in both new installations and repair work.
This connector fits applications where a compression tube must terminate at a male NPT threaded fitting. Common uses include connecting copper or compatible tubing to valves, manifolds, pumps, or equipment ports in residential and commercial systems. The compression-style end eliminates the need for soldering or flaring at that connection point, which speeds up installation in tight spaces or when open-flame work is restricted. The MNPT end threads directly into any standard female NPT port.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or standard service fitting for plumbing, HVAC, and fluid-handling systems that use 3/4-inch compression tube connections terminating at a female NPT port.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber or qualified technician. Shut off system pressure and bleed lines before disassembling any existing fittings. Hand-tighten the compression nut onto the tube, then snug with a wrench — do not overtighten, as over-compression can deform the ferrule and cause leaks. Apply thread sealant or PTFE tape to the MNPT threads per local plumbing code requirements before threading into the mating port.
