The PARKER 68HD-6-8 is a brass compression-to-male NPT connector designed for joining tubing to threaded pipe in fluid and gas distribution systems. It features a compression inlet and a 1/2 inch male NPT threaded outlet, allowing a secure, leak-resistant connection without soldering or special tooling. Rated to 1500 psi maximum working pressure, this fitting handles demanding service conditions found in HVAC, refrigeration, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems. Brass construction provides corrosion resistance and compatibility with a wide range of media. Licensed plumbers, pipefitters, and HVAC technicians are the primary installers.
This connector is suited for residential and commercial applications where tubing must terminate at a threaded port on valves, manifolds, or equipment. It is commonly used in refrigerant line sets, compressed air systems, instrumentation lines, and hydraulic control circuits. The compression-style end eliminates the need for flaring or soldering, making it practical for field installations and service calls where torch work is restricted or impractical.
Designed as an OEM-style compression fitting for use in fluid and gas piping systems requiring a compression-to-male NPT connection at a 1/2 inch thread size.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber, pipefitter, or qualified HVAC technician in accordance with applicable local codes and system manufacturer requirements. Shut off and depressurize the system completely before disassembling or installing any fittings. Ensure tubing is cut cleanly and squarely and deburred before seating it into the compression end. Do not overtighten the compression nut, as this can deform the ferrule and compromise the seal.
