The PARKER 68CA-8-8 is a brass compression tube connector designed to join compression tubing to a male NPT-threaded port in fluid and pneumatic systems. It features a 1/2-14 NPTF thread and a compression x MNPT end connection configuration, providing a reliable, leak-resistant seal without the need for solder or flare tools. Rated to 750 psi maximum working pressure, it handles temperatures from -65 degrees F to 250 degrees F, making it suitable for a wide range of service fluids and ambient conditions. Plumbers, HVAC technicians, and industrial pipefitters use this fitting when transitioning from compression tubing to threaded pipe assemblies.
This connector is suited for residential and light commercial plumbing, refrigeration lines, pneumatic control circuits, and hydraulic systems where a secure, removable compression connection to an NPTF male port is required. It is appropriate for applications involving air, water, oil, and compatible gases within the rated pressure and temperature envelope. The compression end accepts standard tubing and creates a bite-type mechanical seal, while the MNPT end threads directly into a female-threaded port or fitting body.
Designed as an OEM-style compression fitting for use in fluid, pneumatic, and refrigeration systems with 1/2-14 NPTF female-threaded ports accepting a compression tube on the inlet side.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber or qualified HVAC or mechanical technician. Depressurize and isolate the system before removing or installing any fittings. Ensure the tubing end is cut cleanly and squarely and is free of burrs before seating it into the compression end. Apply thread sealant or PTFE tape to the MNPT threads as required by applicable plumbing codes such as the IPC or IFGC.
