The PARKER 68CA-2-2 is a brass compression tube connector designed to join tubing to a male NPT threaded port in fluid and gas distribution systems. It features a compression end on one side and a 1/8-27 MNPT threaded end on the other, allowing a secure, leak-resistant connection without soldering or brazing. Rated to 2800 psi maximum working pressure and capable of handling temperatures from -65 degrees F to 250 degrees F, this fitting is built for demanding service in HVAC, refrigeration, pneumatic, and plumbing applications. Licensed plumbers, HVAC technicians, and pipefitters are the typical installers of this fitting.
This connector is suited for residential and light commercial systems where tubing must transition to a threaded male NPT port. Common applications include instrument lines, refrigerant circuits, pneumatic control tubing, and hydraulic or fluid transfer lines where a reliable compression-to-MNPT transition is required. The NPTF thread standard ensures a pressure-tight mechanical seal at the threaded joint. The compact brass body makes it compatible with tight-space installations common in equipment panels, control cabinets, and mechanical rooms.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-installation fitting for systems requiring a compression-to-male NPT transition with a 1/8-27 thread size and 1/8 inch tube outside diameter.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber or qualified HVAC technician. Depressurize and isolate the line before disassembly or fitting installation. Hand-tighten the compression nut before applying wrench torque to avoid cross-threading. Verify thread compatibility and system pressure ratings before placing the fitting into service. Follow applicable IPC and IFGC guidelines for fitting installation in gas and fluid systems.
