The PARKER 68CA-10-6 is a brass compression tube connector designed to join a compression tube end to a male NPTF pipe thread in fluid and pneumatic plumbing systems. The fitting uses a 3/8-18 thread size conforming to the NPTF standard, providing a pressure-tight mechanical seal without sealant tape under normal conditions. It is rated for a maximum working pressure of 650 psi and handles temperatures from -65 degrees F to 250 degrees F, making it suitable for a wide range of hydraulic, pneumatic, and general plumbing service lines. Licensed plumbers and fluid power technicians are the primary installers.
This connector is used in residential and commercial plumbing, HVAC refrigerant line accessory piping, pneumatic control systems, and industrial fluid transfer applications wherever a compression tube must transition to a male NPT threaded port. The Compression x MNPT end configuration allows direct connection to equipment ports, manifolds, valves, or bulkhead fittings with standard NPT female threads. Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber or qualified fluid power technician following applicable IPC or system manufacturer guidelines. Shut off and depressurize the line completely before removing or installing any compression fitting. Do not over-tighten the compression nut, as brass fittings can deform; hand-tighten then advance with a wrench only to the point of a firm, leak-free seal. Verify thread compatibility at the MNPT port before assembly to avoid cross-threading.
