The PARKER 68C-2-2 is a brass compression tube connector designed to join tubing to male NPT threaded ports in hydraulic, pneumatic, and fluid-transfer systems. It features a compression end on one side and a 1/8-27 MNPT thread on the other, providing a reliable, leak-resistant mechanical connection without soldering or flaring. Rated to 400 psi maximum working pressure and suitable for temperatures ranging from -65 degrees F to 250 degrees F, this fitting is built to SAE J-512 standards. It is a common fitting used by plumbers, HVAC technicians, and fluid-system mechanics in both light industrial and trade applications.
This connector is suited for residential and light commercial installations where 1/8-inch OD tubing must terminate at an NPT-threaded port on valves, manifolds, gauges, or equipment panels. The compression-by-MNPT configuration allows field assembly without special tooling beyond a standard wrench, making it practical for service calls and panel builds alike. It is commonly found in refrigeration lines, pneumatic control circuits, and instrumentation tubing runs where a removable, re-tightenable connection is preferred over a permanent joint.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-installation fitting compatible with 1/8-inch OD tubing and 1/8-27 MNPT-threaded ports in pneumatic, hydraulic, and fluid-transfer assemblies per SAE J-512.
Installation is typically performed by licensed plumbers, HVAC technicians, or instrumentation mechanics. Shut off and depressurize the system fully before removing or installing compression fittings. Use a backup wrench on the mating port to avoid stressing downstream components when tightening the MNPT thread. Do not overtighten the compression nut, as brass fittings can deform the ferrule; follow standard compression fitting practice for the tubing material in use.
