The PARKER 68C-10-8 is a brass compression tube connector designed to join 5/8-inch outside diameter tubing to a male NPT threaded port. It uses a compression fitting on one end and a 1/2-14 MNPT threaded connection on the other, making it a reliable choice for creating leak-resistant tube-to-pipe transitions in fluid and gas systems. Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber, pipefitter, or qualified HVAC technician. Shut off and depressurize the system completely before removing or installing any fitting. Compression fittings require the ferrule to be seated correctly against the tubing; do not overtighten, as this can crack the ferrule or deform the tube. Apply thread sealant or PTFE tape to the NPTF male threads as appropriate for the fluid service and verify the connection is leak-free before returning the system to service.
