The PARKER 682C-3-2 is a brass compression tube tank fitting designed to create a secure, leak-resistant connection between a compression tube line and a male NPT port on a tank or reservoir. It features a 1/8-27 NPTF thread with a Compression x MNPT end configuration, allowing it to mate directly with tubing on one end and thread into a tank port on the other. Rated to 400 psi maximum working pressure and capable of handling temperatures from -65 degrees F to 250 degrees F, this fitting is built for demanding fluid and pneumatic service environments. It conforms to SAE J-512 standards and is constructed from brass for corrosion resistance across a range of media.
This fitting is suited for use in HVAC, refrigeration, pneumatic, and fluid-handling systems where a tube line must connect to a tank or pressure vessel port. It is commonly installed during equipment assembly, service, or field repair work on compressor tanks, hydraulic reservoirs, and similar pressurized vessels. The 1/8-27 thread size makes it appropriate for small-diameter port applications found in both residential and light commercial equipment.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or service fitting for pneumatic, HVAC, refrigeration, and fluid-handling systems that use 1/8-27 NPTF tank ports with compression tube connections.
Installation should be performed by a qualified technician. De-pressurize and isolate the system completely before removing or installing any fittings. Apply thread sealant compatible with the system media to the MNPT threads before installation, following the fitting and system manufacturer guidelines. Tighten to snug plus the appropriate number of turns per NPTF practice — do not overtighten brass fittings, as this can crack the fitting body or distort sealing surfaces.
