The PARKER 66CA-8-8 is a brass compression tube connector designed to join compression tubing to female NPT threaded ports in fluid and gas distribution systems. It features a 1/2-14 NPTF thread and accepts a standard compression fitting on one end with a female NPT connection on the other. Rated for a maximum working pressure of 750 psi and a temperature range of -65 degrees F to 250 degrees F, this connector is suited for demanding plumbing, pneumatic, and hydraulic line applications. Licensed plumbers, pipefitters, and HVAC technicians working on copper or compatible tubing installations are the primary installers.
This connector is used in residential and commercial applications where a compression tube must transition to a female NPT threaded port. Typical scenarios include instrument lines, fuel lines, refrigeration or pneumatic tubing, and general fluid distribution piping. The NPTF thread standard ensures a pressure-tight seal with proper thread engagement. The all-brass construction makes it appropriate for use with water, air, and a range of compatible process fluids where non-ferrous fittings are specified.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-installation fitting for compression tube-to-female-NPT plumbing and pneumatic systems requiring 1/2-14 NPTF threaded connections.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber or qualified pipefitter following applicable IPC or IFGC codes for the fluid or gas being conveyed. Depressurize and isolate the line before disassembly or installation. Use appropriate thread sealant or tape rated for NPTF connections and ensure the compression sleeve and nut are properly seated on the tubing before tightening. Do not overtighten the compression fitting, as this can deform the tubing and cause leaks.
