The PARKER 66CA-2-2 is a brass compression tube connector designed to join tubing to a female National Pipe Thread (FNPT) port. It provides a leak-resistant mechanical connection without the need for solder, flare tools, or thread sealant on the compression end. Rated to 2800 psi maximum working pressure, this fitting handles demanding pneumatic and hydraulic service. The 1/8-27 thread size conforms to NPTF standards for a dry-seal thread engagement. The brass construction resists corrosion and is well suited for use with air, water, oil, and many compatible fluid media. Licensed plumbers, HVAC technicians, and industrial piping mechanics install this type of fitting during system assembly or repair.
This connector is used in residential and light commercial HVAC systems, refrigeration equipment, pneumatic control lines, and general plumbing instrumentation where a compression-to-female-pipe-thread transition is required. The compression end accepts tubing directly, making it practical for quick service connections in tight spaces or where tube-end preparation time is limited. It is also found in hydraulic and process-fluid lines that operate within the rated pressure and temperature range.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or service fitting for compression-to-FNPT plumbing and HVAC control-line connections using 1/8-27 NPTF threaded ports.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber, HVAC technician, or qualified pipefitter following applicable IPC and IFGC guidelines. Depressurize and isolate the system completely before removing or installing any fittings. Hand-tighten the NPTF thread first, then wrench-tighten to a snug fit — do not overtighten brass fittings. Inspect the compression sleeve and nut for proper seating before returning the system to service.
