The PARKER 661FHD-10-12 is a brass male-flare to female-flare tube fitting designed for use in refrigeration, HVAC, and fluid-handling systems that require a reliable 45-degree flared connection. It accepts a 5/8-inch male flare on one end and a 3/4-inch female flare on the other, with a 1-1/16-14 UNF thread and a reduced thread size of 7/8-14. Rated to 650 psi maximum working pressure and 250 degrees F maximum working temperature, this fitting is built for demanding service environments. Licensed HVAC technicians and refrigeration mechanics are the primary installers of this type of component.
This fitting is used wherever a flare-to-flare transition between two different tube outside diameters is required. Common applications include refrigerant line connections, ACR copper tubing assemblies, and other fluid or gas systems requiring SAE 45-degree flared joints. It is suited for both residential and light commercial HVAC and refrigeration installations. The brass construction offers good corrosion resistance in typical ACR and plumbing service conditions. The overall installed length is 1.95 inches, keeping the assembly compact in tight spaces.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or service fitting for 45-degree SAE flare tube assemblies using 5/8-inch and 3/4-inch outside diameter copper or ACR tubing, conforming to SAE J512 and SAE J513 standards.
Installation should be performed by a qualified HVAC technician or refrigeration mechanic. Always recover or isolate refrigerant and depressurize the system fully before loosening or replacing any flare fitting. Inspect flare seats on both mating tubes for cracks, out-of-round condition, or contamination before assembly. Tighten flare nuts to the fitting using calibrated wrenches; do not use pipe thread sealant or tape on SAE flare connections.
