The PARKER 63PT-3-25 is a brass compression tube insert designed to reinforce soft tubing in compression fitting assemblies. Installed inside the end of a tube, this insert prevents the tube wall from collapsing under the compressive load of the ferrule and nut, maintaining a leak-free seal. Constructed from brass, it is compatible with a wide range of fluids and gases found in HVAC, refrigeration, and plumbing systems. The insert measures 0.45 inches in overall length and is rated for service between -65 degrees F and 250 degrees F, making it suitable for both heating and cooling applications.
This tube insert is used in residential and light commercial systems wherever compression fittings join soft copper, aluminum, or plastic tubing. It is a standard component in refrigerant line assemblies, pneumatic control lines, and low-pressure fluid circuits. HVAC technicians and plumbers install these inserts when assembling or repairing compression connections that require added structural support at the tube end to ensure a reliable, long-lasting seal.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement insert for use with standard compression fittings in HVAC, refrigeration, and plumbing tube assemblies where soft tubing requires internal support.
Installation is performed by licensed HVAC technicians or plumbers during compression fitting assembly or repair. Before servicing any pressurized line, relieve system pressure and isolate the circuit per applicable codes including the IFGC and IPC. Insert the tube insert fully into the tube end before seating the ferrule and threading the compression nut. Do not overtighten the compression nut, as excessive force can deform the insert or damage the tube.
