The PARKER 63PT-2-23 is a brass compression tube insert designed to reinforce soft tubing in compression fitting assemblies. The insert slides inside the tubing end and prevents the compression ferrule from collapsing the tube wall when the fitting is tightened. Sized for 1/8 inch tube outside diameter, this insert measures 0.45 inches in overall length. It is rated for service from -65 degrees F to 250 degrees F, making it suitable for a wide range of fluid and pneumatic system temperatures. Licensed plumbers, HVAC technicians, and instrumentation technicians commonly use these inserts during compression fitting installations on soft copper, nylon, or polyethylene tubing.
This insert is appropriate for residential and light commercial plumbing, HVAC control line tubing, pneumatic instrument lines, and refrigeration sensing lines where 1/8 inch OD tubing is used with compression fittings. It is particularly relevant in applications where tubing wall integrity must be maintained under ferrule compression load. A minimum order quantity of 5 pieces applies to this part, making it well suited to service contractors who stock compression fitting hardware in bulk for field repairs.
Designed as an OEM-style compression insert for use with compression fittings on 1/8 inch OD soft tubing in plumbing, HVAC, and pneumatic instrumentation applications.
Installation is performed by licensed plumbers or HVAC technicians. Before servicing any compression fitting connection, shut off and depressurize the line. Slide the insert fully into the tubing end before seating the ferrule and nut onto the fitting body. Do not overtighten the compression nut, as excessive force can crack brass fittings or deform the tubing seat.
