The PARKER 63NTA-4 is a stainless steel compression tube insert designed to reinforce soft or thin-walled tubing in compression fitting assemblies. The insert is placed inside the tube end to prevent collapse under the force of the compression nut and ferrule, maintaining a leak-free seal at the fitting joint. With a 1/4 inch tube outside diameter and a maximum working pressure of 150 psi, this insert suits demanding fluid and pneumatic line applications. Rated for service from -40 degrees F to 200 degrees F, it handles a wide temperature range found in mobile equipment, brake, and fuel line systems. Licensed trades including plumbers, HVAC technicians, and fleet mechanics are the typical installers.
This insert is used in compression fitting assemblies on 1/4 inch OD tubing runs in residential, commercial, and mobile equipment environments. Common applications include hydraulic brake lines, fuel delivery lines, and pneumatic control tubing where tubing wall integrity must be maintained at the fitting seat. It meets D.O.T. FMVSS571.106, SAE J1131, and SAE J246 standards, making it appropriate for regulated vehicular and industrial fluid system installations where code compliance is required.
Designed as an OEM-style compression tube insert for use with 1/4 inch OD tubing in standard compression fitting assemblies conforming to SAE J1131 and SAE J246 specifications.
Installation is performed by plumbers, HVAC technicians, or hydraulic system mechanics familiar with compression fitting assembly. Before servicing any line, depressurize the system fully and isolate the supply. Slide the insert into the tube end before seating the ferrule and nut onto the fitting body. Do not overtighten compression nuts, as excess force can distort the ferrule or damage the insert.
