The PARKER 62VL-4 is a brass compression tube union designed to join two compression-end tube lines in hydraulic, pneumatic, and fluid-distribution systems. It uses Parker's Vibra-Lok compression style, which provides a secure, vibration-resistant seal without soldering or flaring. Rated to 600 psi maximum working pressure, the fitting handles service temperatures from -30 degrees F to 275 degrees F. It meets ISO 6149 and SAE J1926 standards, making it suitable for applications where documented compliance is required. Plumbers, HVAC technicians, and fluid-system mechanics install this fitting in both light industrial and commercial service environments.
The 62VL-4 is used where two compression-end tube runs must be joined inline. Typical applications include refrigerant-adjacent tubing, instrument air lines, hydraulic control circuits, and plumbing distribution lines where threaded or soldered connections are not preferred. The Vibra-Lok compression design is well suited for installations subject to vibration or where repeated service access is expected. The NPTF thread standard applies to the fitting's design basis, and the all-brass construction resists corrosion in wet or humid environments common in mechanical rooms and equipment pads.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-installation compression tube union for systems requiring Vibra-Lok style fittings with compression x compression end connections and a 600 psi pressure rating.
Installation should be performed by a qualified plumber, HVAC technician, or fluid-systems mechanic. Depressurize and isolate the line completely before disassembling or installing compression fittings. Ensure tube ends are cut cleanly and squarely and are free of burrs before seating the fitting. Do not overtighten compression nuts, as brass fittings can deform the ferrule or crack the nut body.
