The PARKER 62PLP-4-6 is a push-to-connect unequal union tube fitting designed to join two tubes of different outside diameters in a single inline connection. Constructed from nickel-plated brass, it handles pressures up to 300 psi and operates across a temperature range of 0 to 200 degrees F. The push-to-connect design allows tool-free tube insertion on both ends, making installation fast and repeatable. The release button is made from a black, flame-resistant material rated to UL94 V-0, which is suitable for installations where ignition resistance is required. Licensed plumbers, HVAC technicians, and fluid-system technicians are the typical installers.
This fitting is rated for general-purpose pneumatic and fluid transfer applications. The 1/4 inch OD port on one end and the 3/8 inch OD port on the other make it a direct solution for transitioning between two different tube sizes without adapters or reducers. It meets D.O.T. FMVSS571.106, SAE J2494, SAE J2494-3, and SAE J844 standards, making it appropriate for automotive brake and air-system lines as well as commercial and light-industrial pneumatic circuits.
Rated for general-purpose pneumatic and fluid transfer service; meets SAE and D.O.T. standards applicable to automotive brake lines and air-system tubing as stated by the manufacturer.
Cut tubing squarely and deburr the end before insertion to ensure a leak-free seal. Verify the tube outside diameter matches the marked port before pushing the tube in until it seats fully. To release, depress the collet button and pull the tube straight out — do not twist. Shut off and depressurize the system completely before disconnecting or replacing any push-to-connect fitting.
