The PARKER 62P-6 is a brass compression tube union designed to join two lengths of tubing in a straight-line configuration using compression-style end connections on both sides. The fitting accepts 3/8-inch outside diameter tubing and is rated for a maximum working pressure of 150 psi and a maximum temperature of 150 degrees F, with a minimum rated temperature of 0 degrees F. This type of union is commonly installed in refrigeration, HVAC, plumbing, and instrumentation systems where a secure, removable tube connection is required without soldering or brazing. Licensed plumbers, HVAC technicians, and refrigeration mechanics are the typical installers.
The 62P-6 is suited for residential and light commercial applications where 3/8-inch OD tubing must be joined inline. Common use cases include fuel gas distribution lines, refrigerant-adjacent instrumentation tubing, water supply connections, and pneumatic control lines operating within the rated pressure and temperature envelope. Its all-brass construction makes it appropriate for use with copper, brass, and compatible plastic tubing types in dry or wet service environments.
Designed as an OEM-style compression union for use with 3/8-inch outside diameter tubing in HVAC, plumbing, refrigeration, and instrumentation systems operating within the rated pressure and temperature limits.
Installation is performed by licensed plumbers, HVAC technicians, or refrigeration mechanics. Before servicing any line, shut off the fluid or gas supply and relieve system pressure completely. Ensure tubing ends are cut square and free of burrs before seating into the compression fitting. Follow applicable local plumbing codes and manufacturer torque guidance — do not overtighten compression nuts, as this can deform the ferrule and cause leaks.
