The PARKER 62P-4 is a compression tube union designed to join two lengths of tubing in a straight-line connection without welding or soldering. Constructed from brass, this fitting accepts compression-style end connections on both sides, creating a leak-resistant joint suitable for gas, refrigerant, and fluid distribution lines. It is rated for a maximum working pressure of 150 psi and a temperature range of 0 degrees F to 150 degrees F. The 1/4 inch outside diameter tube size makes it a common fit in instrumentation, HVAC, and plumbing applications. Installation is performed by licensed plumbers, HVAC technicians, and instrumentation fitters.
This union is used in residential and light commercial systems where a removable, reusable tube connection is required. Typical applications include refrigerant lines, instrument tubing, fuel gas distribution, and low-pressure hydraulic circuits. The compression-by-compression configuration allows field assembly without specialty tooling, making it well suited for service and retrofit work where tube ends are already cut and deburred. The fitting is packaged individually.
Designed as an OEM-style compression fitting for use with 1/4 inch outside diameter tubing in plumbing, HVAC, and instrumentation systems where compression-style connections are specified.
Installation is typically performed by a licensed plumber or HVAC technician in accordance with applicable local codes and IPC or IFGC guidelines. Shut off and depressurize the line before disassembling or connecting fittings. Ensure tube ends are cut square and fully deburred before seating in the compression fitting to prevent leaks. Do not overtighten the compression nut, as this can deform the ferrule and compromise the seal.
