The PARKER 62NBH-8 is a brass compression tube union designed to join two compression-end tubing runs in a single inline fitting. It accepts compression connections on both ends, creating a secure, leak-resistant joint without soldering or flaring. Rated to 150 psi maximum working pressure and suitable for service from -40 degrees F to 200 degrees F, this union is built for demanding fluid and pneumatic line applications. The brass construction resists corrosion and holds up in both indoor and outdoor environments. Licensed plumbers, fleet mechanics, and fluid-systems technicians are the primary installers.
This fitting is commonly used in hydraulic brake lines, fuel lines, and pneumatic tubing assemblies where an inline union connection is required. It meets D.O.T. FMVSS571.106, SAE J1131, and SAE J246 standards, making it appropriate for on-highway vehicle brake and fuel system work as well as general industrial tubing applications. The 0.338-inch inside diameter suits standard tubing sizes in those systems. Both residential and commercial service environments are supported within the rated pressure and temperature limits.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or direct-install compression union for tubing systems requiring D.O.T. and SAE-compliant fittings in on-highway vehicle and industrial fluid line applications.
Installation is typically performed by licensed plumbers, certified fleet mechanics, or fluid-systems technicians familiar with compression fitting assembly. Before installation, depressurize and drain the tubing system completely. Ensure tubing ends are cut square and free of burrs before seating into the compression fitting. Follow applicable SAE and D.O.T. standards for torque and assembly procedure when working on vehicle brake or fuel lines.
