The PARKER 62NBH-6 is a brass compression tube union designed to join two compression-end tube lines in a single inline connection. It provides a leak-resistant, removable mechanical seal without soldering or flaring. This fitting is suited for hydraulic, pneumatic, and fluid transfer lines operating at pressures up to 150 psi and temperatures ranging from -40 degrees F to 200 degrees F. Licensed plumbers, HVAC technicians, and fluid system technicians install this type of union during new construction or service work where tube runs must be joined or extended. It meets D.O.T. FMVSS571.106, SAE J1131, and SAE J246 standards.
The 62NBH-6 is used in residential and light commercial fluid system applications where a reusable, tool-assembled compression connection is required. It is well-suited for brake line, fuel line, refrigeration tubing, and general hydraulic plumbing applications where DOT and SAE compliance is a specification requirement. The 0.217 inch inside diameter accommodates standard small-diameter tubing in these systems.
Designed as an OEM-style compression union for small-diameter tubing systems requiring DOT and SAE compliant fittings in fluid transfer, brake, or fuel line applications.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber, HVAC technician, or qualified fluid systems technician familiar with compression fitting assembly. Shut off and depressurize the system completely before removing or installing any compression fitting. Hand-tighten the compression nut onto the fitting body, then advance with a wrench per standard compression fitting practice — do not overtighten, as brass ferrules are not reusable once fully compressed. Verify a leak-free connection under system pressure before returning the line to service.
