Constructed from brass, it accepts compression fittings on both ends and is rated for a maximum working pressure of 4300 psi, making it suitable for demanding fluid and instrumentation systems. Installation is typically performed by a licensed plumber, HVAC technician, or instrumentation technician. Shut off all system pressure and depressurize the line before removing or installing any compression fitting. A correctly sized hole must be drilled or machined in the bulkhead panel to accept the fitting body, and the locknut must be tightened to the manufacturer specification using an appropriate wrench — do not over-tighten, as this can crack the brass ferrule or distort the fitting seat. Verify all joints are leak-free under system pressure before returning the line to service.
