The PARKER 62HD-4 is a brass compression tube union designed to join two compression-end tube lines in a single inline connection. This fitting accepts compression fittings on both ends, creating a secure, leak-resistant joint without soldering or brazing. Rated to 2100 psi maximum working pressure, the 62HD-4 is built for demanding fluid and gas line applications where a reliable tube-to-tube union is required. The all-brass construction resists corrosion and handles a wide service temperature range, from -65 degrees F to 249 degrees F. Licensed plumbers, HVAC technicians, and instrumentation installers commonly specify this fitting in both new construction and repair work.
The 62HD-4 is suited for use in hydraulic, pneumatic, refrigeration, and fluid transfer systems where two compression tube lines must be joined inline. Its high working pressure rating makes it appropriate for both light commercial and industrial service applications. The compression-by-compression end configuration allows installation in tight spaces without the need for open-flame equipment, making it practical for field service and retrofit jobs.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-installation fitting for systems using standard compression tube connections in plumbing, HVAC, and fluid transfer applications.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber or qualified HVAC technician in accordance with applicable local plumbing codes and IPC guidelines. Shut off and depressurize the line fully before disassembling or installing any compression fitting. Hand-tighten the compression nut onto the fitting body before applying wrench torque to seat the ferrule — avoid overtightening, which can deform the ferrule and cause leaks. Inspect the tube end for burrs or out-of-round deformation before assembly, as these conditions can prevent a proper compression seal.
