The PARKER 62CA-6 is a brass compression tube union designed to join two lengths of tubing in a straight-run connection using compression-style end fittings on both sides. Rated to 1000 psi maximum working pressure and suitable for temperatures ranging from -65 degrees F to 250 degrees F, this union handles demanding service conditions across a wide thermal envelope. Constructed from brass, it offers reliable corrosion resistance for use in refrigeration, HVAC, pneumatic, and fluid-transfer applications. Installation requires no threading of the tube itself — the compression ferrule seats against the tube OD for a leak-resistant mechanical connection. Licensed plumbers, HVAC technicians, and refrigeration mechanics are the typical installers.
This fitting is suited for residential and light commercial systems where 3/8 inch OD tubing must be coupled inline. Compression x compression end connections make it compatible with soft copper, hardened copper, and compatible brass tubing of the specified outside diameter. It is commonly found in refrigeration line sets, pneumatic control circuits, fuel systems, and hydraulic instrumentation tubing runs where a re-serviceable union joint is preferred over a soldered or brazed connection.

Installation should be performed by a qualified HVAC technician, plumber, or pipefitter familiar with compression fitting assembly. Depressurize and isolate the system completely before disassembling or installing any fitting. Ensure tubing ends are cut cleanly and deburred before seating the ferrule to avoid leaks. Follow applicable codes including IFGC, IPC, or local mechanical codes as required for the service application.
