The PARKER 61PB-8 is a brass compression tube sleeve designed for use in compression-style tube fittings. The sleeve, also called a ferrule, seats between the fitting body and nut to create a leak-free mechanical seal when the nut is tightened. It is rated for a maximum working pressure of 150 psi and a temperature range of 0 to 150 degrees F. Plumbers, HVAC technicians, and pipefitters install this type of sleeve in fluid and gas distribution lines where a reliable compression connection is required without soldering or threading.
This sleeve is suited for residential and light commercial plumbing, refrigeration, and instrumentation tubing applications. It is used wherever Parker compression fittings are installed on compatible tube outside diameters. Typical installations include water supply lines, pneumatic control tubing, and low-pressure hydraulic circuits operating within the rated pressure and temperature limits.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement sleeve for use with Parker compression tube fitting bodies and nuts of the corresponding size and series.
Installation is typically performed by a licensed plumber, HVAC technician, or pipefitter. Shut off and depressurize the line before disassembling any fitting. Ensure the tube end is cut cleanly and deburred before seating the sleeve to prevent leaks. Follow applicable code requirements such as IPC or IFGC for the specific system type and fluid service.
