The PARKER 61P-8 is a brass compression tube sleeve designed to create a secure, leak-resistant connection in compression tube fittings. The sleeve seats between the compression nut and fitting body, biting into the outer surface of the tube wall as the connection is tightened to form a mechanical seal. Rated for a maximum working pressure of 150 psi and a temperature range of 0 to 150 degrees F, this sleeve is suited for fluid and gas line applications where a reliable compression-style joint is required. It is installed by licensed plumbers, HVAC technicians, and pipefitters working on copper or compatible tubing systems.
The PARKER 61P-8 fits 1/2 inch outside diameter tubing and is commonly used in residential and light commercial plumbing, refrigeration, and fluid handling installations. Compression fittings of this type are used where soldering or threading is not practical or permitted, including service connections on water supply lines, pneumatic lines, and instrumentation tubing. This sleeve is sold individually with a minimum order quantity of 5 units.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement compression sleeve for use with standard compression tube fittings accepting 1/2 inch outside diameter tubing.
Installation is performed by licensed plumbers or HVAC technicians following applicable IPC and local plumbing code requirements. Shut off and depressurize the line before disassembling or installing any compression fitting components. The sleeve should be slid onto the tube before the compression nut and seated squarely against the fitting body before tightening. Do not over-tighten compression nuts, as this can deform the sleeve and compromise the seal.
