The PARKER 61P-5 is a brass compression tube sleeve designed for use in compression-style tube fittings. The sleeve seats between the fitting body and the compression nut, creating a leak-resistant mechanical seal when the nut is tightened. Rated for a maximum working pressure of 150 psi and a temperature range of 0 to 150 degrees F, this sleeve is suited for low-to-medium pressure fluid and gas line applications. It is manufactured from brass, which provides corrosion resistance and reliable sealing performance in a wide range of service environments. Licensed plumbers, HVAC technicians, and refrigeration mechanics are the typical installers.
This sleeve is sized for 5/16 inch outside diameter tubing and is used in residential and light commercial plumbing, HVAC refrigerant line work, instrumentation tubing, and pneumatic systems where compression fittings are the specified connection type. It is commonly installed in water supply, oil, air, and other compatible fluid lines that operate within the rated pressure and temperature limits.
Designed as an OEM-style compression sleeve for use with standard compression tube fittings accepting 5/16 inch outside diameter tubing.
Installation is performed by a licensed plumber, HVAC technician, or qualified mechanic. Before servicing any line, isolate and depressurize the system and shut off all fluid or gas supply. Ensure the tubing end is cut cleanly and deburred before seating the sleeve to avoid an improper seal. Follow all applicable local plumbing codes and manufacturer fitting assembly instructions when torquing the compression nut.
