The PARKER 61NTA-4 is a brass compression tube nut designed for use in compression-style tube fittings where a secure, leak-resistant mechanical connection is required. This nut mates with a compression fitting body to clamp a compression sleeve against the outside diameter of the tube, creating a reliable seal without soldering or flaring. It is rated for a maximum working pressure of 150 psi and a temperature range of -40 degrees F to 200 degrees F. The part meets DOT FMVSS571.106, SAE J1131, and SAE J246 standards. Plumbers, HVAC technicians, and fluid-system installers working on brake, fuel, or refrigerant-adjacent tubing circuits are the primary installers.
This compression tube nut is suited for residential and light commercial applications involving 1/4 inch outside diameter tubing. It is commonly used in hydraulic, pneumatic, and fluid-transfer systems where compression-style end connections are specified. The brass construction provides good corrosion resistance for use with copper, brass, or compatible plastic tubing in low-to-moderate pressure service.
