The PARKER 61HD-6 is a brass compression tube sleeve designed to create a leak-tight mechanical connection in compression fitting assemblies. The sleeve seats between the compression nut and fitting body, deforming around the tubing as the nut is tightened to form a secure, pressure-rated grip. Rated to 1500 psi maximum working pressure, it is suited for hydraulic, pneumatic, refrigeration, and fluid-transfer lines operating across a wide temperature range. Licensed plumbers, HVAC technicians, and industrial pipefitters use this sleeve wherever a reliable compression-style tube connection is required.
This sleeve is used in compression fitting assemblies on copper, brass, or compatible metal tubing in residential and commercial plumbing, HVAC refrigerant lines, instrumentation, and fluid-control systems. It performs across a temperature range of -65 degrees F to approximately 250 degrees F, making it suitable for both chilled-water and hot-water service as well as low-pressure pneumatic applications. It is sold individually; minimum order quantity is 5 pieces.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement sleeve for use in standard compression tube fitting assemblies where a brass sleeve of this series is specified.
Installation is typically performed by a licensed plumber or qualified HVAC technician. Shut off and depressurize the line before disassembling any compression fitting. Seat the sleeve squarely on the tubing before threading and tightening the compression nut — cross-threading or uneven seating will compromise the seal. Do not reuse a previously compressed sleeve, as the deformed ferrule will not re-seat reliably.
