The PARKER 61HD-5 is a brass compression tube sleeve designed to create a secure, leak-resistant connection in compression-style tube fittings. The sleeve seats between the compression nut and fitting body, deforming slightly under torque to grip the tube wall and form a pressure-tight seal. Rated to 1800 psi maximum working pressure, it handles demanding fluid and gas line applications. Constructed from brass, it offers good corrosion resistance and machinability. Overall length is 0.765 inches and the part weighs approximately 0.02 pounds. Licensed plumbers, HVAC technicians, and industrial pipefitters are the typical installers.
This sleeve is suited for use in hydraulic, pneumatic, refrigeration, and fluid transfer systems where compression-style tube connections are specified. It is used in both residential and light commercial plumbing and HVAC installations, as well as in industrial instrumentation and process lines. The operating temperature range of -65 degrees F to 121 degrees C (-65 degrees F to 250 degrees F) makes it appropriate for a wide range of service conditions including chilled water, fuel gas, and compressed air applications.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or service component for compression tube fitting assemblies requiring a standard brass ferrule sleeve.
Installation is performed by qualified plumbers, HVAC technicians, or industrial pipefitters. Shut off and depressurize the system completely before disassembling any fitting. The sleeve is a single-use component in most applications once it has been compressed onto the tube wall; reuse is not recommended. Ensure tube ends are cut cleanly and deburred before assembly to achieve a proper seal.
