The PARKER 61HD-3 is a brass compression tube sleeve designed to create a secure, leak-resistant joint in compression-style tube fittings. The sleeve seats between the compression nut and fitting body, biting into the outer wall of the tube as the connection is tightened. It is rated for a maximum working pressure of 2850 psi and handles temperatures ranging from -65 degrees F to 249 degrees F (121 degrees C). Suitable for hydraulic, pneumatic, and fluid-handling lines, this sleeve is installed by plumbers, HVAC technicians, and industrial service technicians working on compression-tube assemblies.
This sleeve is sized for tubing with a 3/16 inch outside diameter. It is used in residential and commercial applications wherever compression fittings are specified, including refrigeration lines, instrumentation tubing, fuel lines, and general fluid-transfer systems. The all-brass construction resists corrosion and provides reliable performance across a broad service temperature range, making it appropriate for both indoor mechanical rooms and outdoor installations.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-installation component for compression tube fitting assemblies using 3/16 inch OD tubing.
Installation is performed by licensed plumbers, HVAC technicians, or qualified mechanical contractors. De-pressurize and isolate the line before disassembling any fitting. The sleeve is a single-use component on most compression systems — once swaged onto tubing, it should not be reused on a new fitting body. Follow the fitting manufacturer's torque guidance and applicable IPC or system-specific standards for compression connections.
