The PARKER 61HD-2 is a brass compression tube sleeve designed to create a secure, leak-resistant connection in compression fitting assemblies. The sleeve seats between the compression nut and fitting body, biting into the tube outer diameter to form a reliable mechanical seal. Rated to 4300 psi maximum working pressure, this sleeve handles demanding hydraulic and pneumatic line applications. It fits tubing with a 1/8 inch outside diameter and is manufactured from brass for corrosion resistance and durability across a wide service temperature range of -65 degrees F to 249 degrees F.
This sleeve is suited for use in industrial fluid handling, instrumentation, HVAC controls, pneumatic systems, and hydraulic plumbing lines where compression-style fittings are specified. It is typically installed by HVAC technicians, plumbers, pipefitters, and instrumentation mechanics working on copper or compatible soft-metal tubing runs. The 1/8 inch OD sizing is common in low-volume fluid and gas control lines found in both light commercial and industrial installations.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement compression sleeve for use with standard compression fitting bodies and nuts sized for 1/8 inch outside diameter tubing in fluid and gas handling systems.
Installation is performed by qualified plumbers, pipefitters, or HVAC technicians following applicable codes including IPC and IFGC where gas lines are involved. Depressurize and isolate the line before disassembling any compression fitting. The sleeve is a single-use component — once a sleeve has been compressed onto tubing, it should not be reused on a new fitting assembly. Hand-tighten the compression nut before applying final wrench turns per the fitting manufacturer's guidance.
