The PARKER 60PT-4 is a compression tube sleeve designed to create a secure, leak-resistant connection in compression fitting assemblies. Made from Delrin acetal resin, this sleeve seats firmly against the tube OD when the nut is tightened, deforming slightly to grip and seal without threads on the tube itself. It is rated for a maximum working pressure of 300 psi and handles temperatures from -65 degrees F to 250 degrees F. The 60PT-4 fits tubing with a 1/4 inch outside diameter and meets SAE J-512 standards. It is a standard component in fluid and pneumatic line assemblies across HVAC, refrigeration, instrumentation, and light industrial plumbing applications.
This sleeve is used in compression-style tube fittings where a ferrule-type seal is required on 1/4 inch OD tubing. It is suited for both residential and commercial service work involving copper, aluminum, or compatible plastic tubing runs. Plumbers, HVAC technicians, and instrumentation mechanics install these sleeves as part of compression unions, elbows, tees, and adapters in low-to-medium pressure fluid or gas lines. The Delrin construction makes it well-suited for applications where a non-metallic ferrule is preferred to reduce galling or for use with softer tubing materials.
Designed as an OEM-style compression sleeve for use with 1/4 inch OD tubing in SAE J-512 compliant compression fitting assemblies.
Installation is performed by plumbers, HVAC technicians, or instrumentation mechanics. Before servicing any line, depressurize and isolate the system completely. Slide the nut onto the tubing first, then the sleeve, before inserting the tube into the fitting body and tightening the nut by hand followed by a controlled wrench turn per the fitting manufacturer guidance. Do not overtighten, as Delrin sleeves can crack or distort if excessive force is applied.
