The PARKER 60P-4 is a compression tube sleeve designed for use in fluid-handling and pneumatic tubing systems. Made from POM acetal, this sleeve fits over the outside of a 1/4-inch OD tube and creates a secure, leak-resistant compression joint when assembled with a matching compression fitting body and nut. It is a standard sleeve-style insert used to reinforce the tube wall at the compression point, preventing collapse and ensuring consistent bite and seal. Rated to 150 psi maximum working pressure, it handles a temperature range of 0 degrees F to 150 degrees F. Licensed plumbers, HVAC technicians, and instrumentation mechanics commonly install this fitting in water, air, and low-pressure fluid lines.
This sleeve is suited for residential and light commercial applications where 1/4-inch OD tubing is joined using compression-style fittings. Typical installation scenarios include potable water lines, refrigeration instrument lines, pneumatic control tubing, and similar low-to-medium pressure service. The POM acetal material resists moisture and common cleaning chemicals, making it a practical choice where metal sleeves are not required or where galvanic compatibility is a concern.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement sleeve for use with standard compression fitting bodies and nuts accepting 1/4-inch OD tubing.
Installation is performed by licensed plumbers or qualified mechanical technicians. Shut off and depressurize the fluid or pneumatic line before disassembling any compression fitting. Ensure the tube end is cut square and deburred before seating the sleeve to achieve a proper seal. Do not overtighten compression nuts, as POM acetal sleeves can deform if excessive torque is applied beyond snug-plus-standard turns.
