The PARKER 60NTA-3 is a brass compression tube sleeve designed for use in hydraulic and pneumatic tubing assemblies where a secure, leak-resistant mechanical connection is required. This sleeve seats between the compression nut and the fitting body, creating a bite on the tube OD to form a positive seal. It is rated for a maximum working pressure of 150 psi and a temperature range of -40 degrees F to 200 degrees F. The 60NTA-3 meets DOT FMVSS571.106, SAE J1131, and SAE J246 standards, making it suitable for brake and fuel line applications in mobile and stationary equipment. Licensed technicians and journeyman mechanics working on hydraulic, pneumatic, or fluid transfer lines handle installation.
The 60NTA-3 sleeve is used in compression-style tube fittings with a 3/16 inch outside diameter tube. Common applications include automotive and commercial vehicle brake systems, fuel lines, and general fluid-transfer tubing assemblies that require DOT and SAE compliance. It is appropriate for both original equipment and service replacement work where a brass, reusable or single-use sleeve insert is specified by the system design.
Designed for use with 3/16 inch OD compression tube fittings that comply with SAE J1131 and SAE J246 specifications. Verify fitting body and nut are rated for the same tube OD and pressure class before assembly.
Installation is typically performed by a licensed mechanic or fluid systems technician. Depressurize and drain the line completely before disassembling any fitting. Ensure the tube end is cut square and free of burrs before seating the sleeve; a deformed or burred tube end will prevent proper sleeve engagement. Do not over-torque the compression nut, as this can collapse the sleeve or damage the tube wall.
