The PARKER 60C-6 is a brass compression tube sleeve designed for use in compression-style tube fittings. The sleeve seats between the fitting body and the compression nut, creating a leak-resistant mechanical connection on the tube outside diameter. Manufactured from brass to SAE J-512 standards, this sleeve is rated for working pressures up to 200 psi and a temperature range of -65 degrees F to 250 degrees F. It is sized for 3/8 inch outside diameter tubing. Plumbers, HVAC technicians, and fluid-system installers use this component when assembling or repairing compression tube connections on refrigerant, fuel, or hydraulic lines.
This sleeve is appropriate for residential and light commercial applications where compression fittings are specified. Typical installations include refrigeration tubing assemblies, fuel lines, and instrumentation connections that require a removable, non-flared tube connection. It is compatible with compression fitting systems built to SAE J-512, making it a suitable replacement sleeve when a fitting is disassembled or when the original sleeve is damaged during service.
Designed for use with compression tube fitting assemblies conforming to SAE J-512. Fits 3/8 inch outside diameter tubing in compression-style connections.
Installation is performed by licensed plumbers or HVAC technicians following applicable codes such as the IPC or IFGC. Before servicing any fitting, isolate and depressurize the line and confirm the system is at zero pressure. Slide the sleeve onto the tubing before threading the compression nut; do not reuse a sleeve that has been fully swaged or deformed. Inspect the tubing end for burrs and ensure it is cut square before assembling the connection.
