The PARKER 60C-5 is a brass compression tube sleeve designed for use in compression-style tube fittings. The sleeve seats between the fitting body and nut to create a leak-resistant mechanical seal on the tubing outside diameter. Manufactured from brass to meet SAE J-512, it handles working pressures up to 300 psi and operates across a temperature range of -65 degrees F to 250 degrees F. This sleeve is intended for installation by licensed plumbers, HVAC technicians, and refrigeration mechanics working with 5/16-inch OD tubing in fluid and gas line assemblies.
This sleeve is suited for residential and light commercial applications where compression fittings are used to connect copper or compatible soft tubing in plumbing, HVAC, and fluid transfer systems. It is commonly installed at equipment hookups, instrument lines, and service connections where a reusable or field-serviceable joint is required. Installers working on fuel lines, refrigerant lines, or pneumatic circuits with 5/16-inch OD tubing will find this sleeve a direct fit for standard compression fitting assemblies.
Designed as an OEM-style compression sleeve for use with standard SAE J-512 compression tube fittings sized for 5/16-inch outside diameter tubing.
Installation is performed by a licensed plumber, HVAC technician, or refrigeration mechanic. Depressurize and isolate the line before disassembling any fitting. Hand-tighten the compression nut onto the fitting body, then snug with a wrench — avoid overtightening, which can crack or deform the sleeve. Verify the joint is leak-free under system pressure before returning the system to service.
