The PARKER 60C-2 is a brass compression tube sleeve designed to create a leak-free mechanical connection in compression-style tube fittings. The sleeve seats against the fitting body as the nut is tightened, forming a secure grip and seal on the tube OD. It is compatible with 1/8 inch outside diameter tubing and is rated for a maximum working pressure of 400 psi. The temperature range runs from -65 degrees F to 250 degrees F, making it suitable for a broad range of fluid and gas service applications. This sleeve is manufactured to SAE J-512 standards and is constructed from brass for corrosion resistance and reliable performance in hydraulic, pneumatic, and instrumentation systems.
This compression sleeve is used in residential and commercial plumbing, HVAC, refrigeration, and fluid-power systems wherever a compression-style tube connection is specified. Typical applications include instrument lines, fuel lines, hydraulic control circuits, and small-bore tubing assemblies. It is installed by licensed plumbers, pipefitters, HVAC technicians, and instrumentation mechanics working with 1/8 inch OD tubing routed to valves, gauges, or fittings that require SAE J-512 compliant connections.
Designed as an OEM-style compression sleeve for use with SAE J-512 compliant compression fittings accepting 1/8 inch outside diameter tubing.
Installation should be performed by a qualified plumber, pipefitter, or HVAC technician in accordance with applicable codes including the IPC and IFGC where gas service is involved. Depressurize and drain the line before disassembly or installation. The sleeve must be seated squarely on the tubing before the compression nut is threaded onto the fitting body. Do not over-tighten the compression nut, as excessive force can deform the sleeve and compromise the seal.
