The PARKER 60AB-16 is a brass compression tube sleeve designed to create a secure, leak-resistant connection in compression tube fitting assemblies. The sleeve seats between the compression nut and fitting body, biting into the tube OD to form a pressure-tight mechanical seal. Rated to 400 psi maximum working pressure, it handles a wide service temperature range from -65 degrees F to 250 degrees F. Constructed from brass for corrosion resistance and reliable long-term performance in fluid and pneumatic line applications. This sleeve meets D.O.T. FMVSS571.106 and SAE J246 standards, making it suitable for regulated installations.
This sleeve is used in compression tube fitting assemblies across plumbing, HVAC, pneumatic, and fluid transfer systems. Its 1 inch tube OD sizing suits larger-diameter tubing runs common in commercial and industrial installations. Licensed plumbers, pipefitters, and HVAC technicians install this component when assembling or repairing compression-style tube connections in both new construction and retrofit service work.
Designed as a standard OEM-style compression sleeve for use with 1 inch OD tubing in compression tube fitting assemblies conforming to SAE J246 specifications.
Installation is performed by licensed plumbers or pipefitters following applicable IPC or system-specific piping codes. Depressurize and drain the line fully before disassembly or fitting replacement. The sleeve must be seated squarely over the tube before tightening the compression nut — cross-threading or uneven seating will compromise the seal. Do not reuse a previously compressed sleeve, as the bite geometry will not re-seal reliably.
