The PARKER 6 X6EF-S is a 90-degree swivel elbow connector designed for high-pressure hydraulic and fluid-system tubing. It features a 37-degree flare end on the tube side and a male NPTF (MNPTF) thread on the port side, allowing the elbow to rotate freely during installation for precise line routing without twisting the tubing. Machined from steel, the fitting handles a maximum dynamic working pressure of 6000 psi and a maximum working temperature of 500 degrees F. It accommodates 3/8-inch tube outside diameter with a 1/4-inch NPTF thread. Licensed trades and fluid-power technicians install this fitting in compressed-air, hydraulic, and refrigeration line assemblies.
This fitting is suited for industrial, commercial, and mobile hydraulic applications where a 90-degree direction change is needed at a port connection. The swivel design simplifies assembly in tight spaces by letting the technician align the tube run before torquing the nut, reducing the risk of cross-threading or tube strain. Designed as a standard SAE J514 and ISO 8434-2 flare-type swivel elbow for 3/8-inch OD tubing systems using 1/4-inch NPTF port connections.
Installation should be performed by a qualified hydraulic or fluid-power technician familiar with flared-tube fitting assembly procedures. De-energize and depressurize the hydraulic or fluid system completely before removing any existing fittings or installing new ones. Inspect the flare seat and NPTF threads for damage or contamination before assembly. Follow the torque and assembly procedures specified in SAE J514 for flared-tube fittings; do not overtighten, as this can damage the flare seat.
