The PARKER 6 VLO-S is a 45-degree male elbow compression fitting designed for high-pressure hydraulic and fluid-conveyance applications. It connects a 3/8-inch outside-diameter tube on one end to a 1/4-18 NPTF male thread on the other, using an O-Ring Face Seal (ORFS) interface to deliver a leak-free connection at pressures up to 6000 psi. Constructed from zinc-plated steel, the fitting resists corrosion in demanding service environments. This type of fitting is installed by hydraulic technicians, plumbers, and fluid-systems mechanics working on equipment where a reliable 45-degree direction change in the line is required.
The PARKER 6 VLO-S is suited for industrial, mobile equipment, and fluid-power systems where a 45-degree transition between a compression tube and an NPTF-ported component is needed. The ORFS interface eliminates the leak paths common to flared or threaded-only connections, making it a preferred choice in high-vibration environments or systems requiring zero tolerance for fluid loss. It is sold individually and is appropriate for both new installations and maintenance replacements on equipment using 3/8-inch tubing with 1/4-18 NPTF ports.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-installation fitting for hydraulic and fluid-power systems using 3/8-inch OD compression tubing and 1/4-18 NPTF-ported components requiring a 45-degree male elbow connection.
Installation should be performed by a qualified hydraulic technician or pipefitter. Depressurize and drain the system completely before removing or installing any fitting. Inspect the O-ring for nicks or deformation before assembly and replace it if damaged, as fitting integrity depends on a sound O-ring seating surface. Follow the equipment manufacturer's assembly procedures and applicable fluid-system codes for proper fitting make-up.
