The PARKER 6 JTX-S is a steel flared tube union designed to join two tube runs in high-pressure hydraulic and fluid-power lines. It uses a 37-degree flare seat on all three connection points, conforming to SAE J514 and ISO 8434-2 standards. The fitting handles a maximum working pressure of 6000 psi and can operate at temperatures up to 500 degrees F (260 degrees C). At 2.12 inches in overall length and a tube OD of 3/8 inch, it is a compact, field-proven union used by hydraulic technicians, HVAC installers, and plumbing tradespeople who need a reliable metal-to-metal flare seal in demanding service environments.
This fitting is suited for use in residential and commercial hydraulic lines, refrigeration tubing, and high-pressure fluid-transfer systems where a leak-free union connection is required. The Flare x Flare x Flare end configuration allows a straight union connection between two tube ends. It is typically installed during new construction, system modification, or repair work on steel-tubed hydraulic or fluid-power circuits.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-installation union fitting for 3/8-inch OD steel tubing in hydraulic, fluid-power, and refrigeration systems requiring a 37-degree SAE flare connection.
Installation should be performed by a qualified hydraulic technician or licensed tradesperson familiar with SAE flare fitting procedures. Depressurize and drain the system completely before removing or installing any fittings. Inspect tube ends for proper flare geometry and cleanliness before assembly; damaged or out-of-spec flares will compromise the metal-to-metal seal. Do not overtighten — follow SAE J514 assembly guidelines for flare nut torque, and do not use thread sealant on flare seats.
