The PARKER 6 DTX-S is a 90-degree female elbow fitting designed for flared tube connections in high-pressure hydraulic and fluid power systems. It features a 37-degree flare seat on the tube side and female NPTF threads on the port side, creating a leak-resistant metal-to-metal seal. Constructed from steel, this fitting is rated for a maximum dynamic working pressure of 5000 psi and a maximum working temperature of 500 degrees F. It is sized for 3/8 inch tube OD with 1/4 inch NPTF thread. Hydraulic technicians, plumbers, and fluid system assemblers install this fitting where a 90-degree directional change is required in a tubing run.
This fitting is suited for use in hydraulic lines, fuel systems, and pneumatic circuits found in industrial, mobile, and OEM equipment. The flare-by-FNPTF end configuration allows direct connection between a flared steel tube and a female NPT port on a valve, pump, manifold, or bulkhead. It is appropriate for both shop fabrication and field repair of high-pressure fluid circuits where reliable, leak-free performance under cyclic pressure is required.
Designed as an OEM-style flared tube fitting for hydraulic and fluid power systems using 3/8 inch OD tubing with 37-degree flare ends and 1/4 inch NPTF female port connections, per SAE J514 and ISO 8434-2 specifications.
Installation should be performed by a qualified hydraulic technician or pipefitter. Depressurize and drain the system fully before removing or installing any fitting. Inspect the tube flare for cracks or out-of-round condition before assembly, as a damaged flare will prevent a proper metal-to-metal seal. NPTF threads are designed as dry-seal connections; follow applicable SAE and ASME standards for thread engagement and do not overtighten.
