The PARKER 6 CTX-S is a 90-degree male elbow tube fitting designed for high-pressure hydraulic and fluid power lines. It connects a 37-degree flared tube end to a male NPTF threaded port, redirecting flow at a right angle without requiring additional adapters. Made from steel, this fitting handles working pressures up to 6000 psi and temperatures up to 500 degrees F, making it suitable for demanding industrial, mobile equipment, and HVAC refrigeration line applications. Licensed plumbers, pipefitters, and hydraulic technicians install this type of fitting when routing tubing around obstructions or changing flow direction at a port connection.
This fitting is used in hydraulic systems, refrigeration circuits, pneumatic lines, and fluid conveyance assemblies where a 3/8 inch OD tube must terminate at a 1/4 inch NPTF male threaded port at a 90-degree angle. The 37-degree flare seat conforms to SAE J514 and ISO 8434-2 standards, making it compatible with standard SAE 37-degree flare tube assemblies found across industrial and mobile equipment platforms. It is well suited for tight routing scenarios on equipment where straight fittings cannot clear surrounding components.
Designed for use with standard SAE 37-degree flare tube assemblies using 3/8 inch OD tubing and 1/4 inch NPTF male threaded ports per SAE J514 and ISO 8434-2.
Installation should be performed by a qualified pipefitter, hydraulic technician, or licensed plumber following applicable codes and equipment manufacturer torque guidelines. De-pressurize and drain the system fully before removing or installing any fitting. Inspect the flare seat and tube flare for nicks or deformation before assembly, as surface damage can cause leaks under pressure. NPTF threads are designed to seal on the thread form itself; inspect threads for damage and follow standard assembly practice for the application.
