The PARKER 6 BTX-S is a steel flared tube nut designed for use in 37-degree flare tube fitting assemblies. It threads onto a mating flare fitting body to secure a flared tube end and maintain a leak-free connection under pressure and elevated temperatures. Rated for a maximum working temperature of 500 degrees F (260 degrees C), this nut suits demanding hydraulic, pneumatic, and fluid transfer applications. At 0.73 inches in overall length and sized for 3/8-inch tube OD, it is a compact, single-piece component that licensed plumbers, pipefitters, and HVAC technicians install as part of standard flare assembly work.
This tube nut is used wherever 37-degree flare connections are specified in fluid power, refrigeration, fuel, and hydraulic line systems. It is appropriate for both residential and commercial installations where JIC-style or SAE flare fittings are the required connection type. Installation is typically performed by licensed pipefitters, HVAC technicians, or plumbers following applicable SAE and ISO flare fitting procedures. Depressurize and isolate the line completely before disassembling any flare fitting. Hand-tighten the nut onto the fitting body first to ensure proper thread engagement before applying a wrench to avoid cross-threading. Do not overtighten, as this can damage the flared tube seat and cause leaks.
