The PARKER 6-8 GBZ-SS is a stainless steel compression tube connector designed to join tubing to female NPT threaded ports in high-pressure fluid and gas systems. It uses a compression-style end connection on one side and a female NPT (FNPT) threaded connection on the other, providing a reliable, leak-resistant joint without welding or soldering. Rated to 6,600 psi maximum working pressure, this fitting is suited for demanding industrial, instrumentation, and mechanical service applications. Licensed plumbers, pipefitters, and instrumentation technicians are the primary installers of this type of fitting.
This connector is appropriate for use in hydraulic lines, pneumatic systems, instrumentation tubing runs, and process piping where a transition from compression tubing to an FNPT port is required. Its stainless steel construction makes it well suited for corrosive environments, high-temperature service, and applications requiring material compatibility with aggressive media. It is commonly installed in commercial and industrial settings where tube-to-pipe transitions are needed at panel connections, valve bodies, or manifold ports.
Designed as an OEM-style compression-to-FNPT connector for use in instrumentation, hydraulic, and process piping systems requiring a 1/2 inch female NPT port connection with a compression tube inlet.
Installation should be performed by a licensed pipefitter, plumber, or instrumentation technician in accordance with applicable codes such as ASME B31.3 for process piping. Depressurize and isolate the system completely before removing or installing any fittings. Do not overtighten the compression nut, as excessive force can deform the ferrule and compromise the seal. Inspect all mating threads and tubing ends for burrs or damage before assembly.
