The PARKER 6-6 FTX-S is a steel flared tube connector designed for high-pressure hydraulic and fluid system applications. It features a 37-degree flare seating angle and Flare x MNPTF end connections, making it a standard straight connector for joining flared tubing to male NPTF threaded ports. Rated to 6000 psi maximum working pressure and capable of handling temperatures up to 500 degrees F, this fitting is built for demanding service conditions. Licensed plumbers, hydraulic technicians, and pipefitters use this type of connector in fluid power, pneumatic, and refrigeration line assemblies.
This connector is suited for both industrial and commercial fluid system installations where a reliable 37-degree flare-to-NPTF transition is required. Typical applications include hydraulic power units, compressed air lines, fuel systems, and other high-pressure tubing assemblies using 3/8 inch OD tubing. Its NPTF thread form provides a pressure-tight mechanical seal without relying solely on thread sealant.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-installation fitting for high-pressure fluid systems using 3/8 inch OD flared tubing with NPTF-threaded port connections.
Installation should be performed by a qualified hydraulic technician, pipefitter, or licensed plumber following applicable codes such as the IPC and relevant SAE fluid power standards. Depressurize and isolate the fluid system completely before disassembly or installation of any fittings. Ensure mating flare is properly formed to the correct 37-degree angle before torquing to avoid leaks or fitting damage. Do not overtighten NPTF connections; thread engagement should achieve a pressure-tight seal through proper thread interference, not excessive force.
