The PARKER 6-6 FBZ-B is a straight brass compression-to-male NPT tube connector used to join compression tubing to a male pipe thread port in fluid and gas distribution systems. Machined from brass to ASTM-B-453 and ASTM-B16 standards, it accepts a 3/8 inch male NPT thread and delivers a rated working pressure of 2300 psi. At 1.57 inches in overall length and 0.11 pounds, it is a compact, single-piece fitting suited for tight plumbing runs. Plumbers, HVAC technicians, and industrial piping mechanics install this type of fitting where a tubing line must terminate at a threaded port on a valve, manifold, or equipment connection.
This fitting is used in residential and light commercial plumbing, HVAC refrigerant and hydronic piping, compressed air lines, and instrumentation tubing systems where a reliable compression seal at a pipe-thread transition is required. The straight configuration makes it appropriate for in-line connections without directional change. Its brass construction suits water, air, and many compatible fluid services within the rated pressure envelope. A licensed plumber or HVAC technician would typically install this fitting as part of a brazed or compression tubing assembly.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or direct-install compression tube connector for standard 3/8 inch MNPT threaded ports in plumbing, HVAC, and fluid distribution applications. Cross-references to Swagelok part number B-600-1-6.
This fitting is installed by a licensed plumber or qualified HVAC technician. Shut off and depressurize the system completely before disconnecting or installing any compression fitting. Use a calibrated torque wrench and follow the fitting manufacturer's recommended turns-past-finger-tight procedure for the compression nut — do not over-drive the ferrule. Consult IPC and applicable local codes for approved fitting materials and pressure ratings for the specific fluid service.
