The PARKER 6-6 CTX-S is a 90-degree male elbow fitting designed for flared tube hydraulic and fluid-system connections. Manufactured from steel, it accepts a 3/8-inch tube OD with a 37-degree flare seat on one end and a 3/8-inch male NPTF thread on the other. This fitting is rated for a maximum working pressure of 6000 psi and a maximum working temperature of 500 degrees F (260 degrees C), making it suitable for demanding high-pressure line applications. Licensed plumbers, pipefitters, and hydraulic system technicians typically install this type of fitting in industrial, HVAC, and fluid-power circuits where a secure, leak-resistant directional change is required.
This elbow fitting is used in applications that require a 90-degree directional change from a flared tube run to a threaded port. Typical install scenarios include hydraulic manifolds, refrigeration and fluid-power equipment, and compressed-fluid plumbing where NPTF sealing integrity is critical. The flare-by-MNPTF end configuration allows connection between a flared tube assembly and a standard tapered pipe-thread port without additional adapters.
Designed as an OEM-style flare fitting replacement or new installation component for high-pressure fluid, hydraulic, and refrigeration systems requiring a 3/8-inch tube OD 37-degree flare to 3/8-inch MNPTF connection.
Installation should be performed by a qualified pipefitter, hydraulic technician, or licensed plumber. Depressurize and isolate the fluid circuit completely before removing or installing any fitting. Inspect flare seat and tube end for damage or debris before assembly; a compromised flare seat will prevent proper sealing. Apply thread sealant appropriate for the service fluid to the NPTF threads per system requirements and applicable codes.
